About the Showboat Players

The Minnesota Centennial Showboat acts as the primary performance spot for the University of Minnesota Showboat Players. The Players are a unique troupe of talented performers cast exclusively with University students. They perform during the summer and the Showboat is available for private events and other stage productions fall through spring.

The Showboat Players are known for their glorious olios, which are whimsical, musical numbers within the show that illustrate and illuminate an era from long ago. They feature zany costumes, catchy tunes, and crazy antics—and audience participation.
